The municipality of Flein is an independent town situated in a picturesque setting on the southern edge of the Heilbronn metropolitan area, surrounded by vineyards.

Active outdoor enthusiasts will find numerous hiking trails and a well-developed network of bike paths. Thanks to its excellent bus connections to the city of Heilbronn and its infrastructure, as well as its convenient location near the Stuttgart and Würzburg highways, Flein also enjoys excellent access to the surrounding business centers.
The Heilbronn region offers enormous potential for tourism: a diverse landscape, the Neckar Valley with its tributaries, the Kocher and Jagst, the recreational paradise of Lake Breitenau (the largest swimming lake in Northern Württemberg, complete with a campground), the Experimenta, and the Audi Forum Neckarsulm. Large parts of the district are located within the two nature parks, Stromberg-Heuchelberg and Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald.
